One of the instruments used during our worship services is the organ.

The organ at Peace UCC was built by the Wicks Organ Co., Highland Ill., in 1971. It has 26 stops, 16 ranks, chimes, 4-bell Zimbelstern, 966 pipes varying in size from two inches to 16 feet in height. The console conforms to AGO (American Guild of Organists) specifications. Tonal scaling was done by John Sperling, tonal director at Wicks, and the stop list by Elmer F. Ackermann, former Minister of Music for the church.

The instrument has three divisions, Great, Swell, and Pedal. Each division has its own independent ensemble. The organ is voiced on 2 inch wind pressure with the exception of the reed which is on 4 inch pressure. The organ is free standing and speaks directly into the Nave of the church. The visible pipes are those of the Great and Pedal divisions.
